New camera's are loads of fun, and the latest digital camera's from Canon or any other manufacturer for that matter, take a little getting used to. Here is some basic information on how to charge the battery on your Canon camera!

First thing you need to do is remove the camera's battery. Do this sliding the door that is located on the bottom of the camera over with your thumb so that you can hinge it open.

Next, press the little tab that is holding the camera battery in place and it should easily slide out.

With the battery out, line up the three small metal plates with the three metal prongs on the charger and slide the battery into the charger.

Now plug the charger into an outlet and a yellow light will turn on to let you know it is charging.

When the little light turns green, your battery is charged and you are ready to go take high quality digital pictures! Just place the battery back in the camera, close the little door and you are good to go!
